About This Project

IESC completed an ASHARE Level III energy audit for CityHousing Hamilton Corporation’s 13 multi- unit residential buildings (MURB) in Hamilton, Ontario. The overall objective of this project was to determine the baseline energy and water consumption levels, and identify opportunities where each building is able to reduce its utility use.  The following work was conducted by IESC:

  • Provide insight into current building conditions, energy and water usage
  • Propose potential actions to reduce energy consumption
  • Conduct an investment grade and life-cycle cost analysis of practical conservation and complementary building renewal measures
  • Create accurate simulation and modeling of the entire building
