Internat Energy Solutions Canada (‘IESC’) has been engaged by Johnson Controls to assist one of their clients, in completing energy assessments at three locations. The project included development of energy manger reports as a part of the NRCan Energy Manager Program. The Energy Manager Program by NRCan provided financial assistance for industrial, commercial and institutional facilities, and fleets to identify and adopt energy efficiency solutions that reduce energy use, operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
IESC will perform a complete data and document review as well as a site visit in order to fully understand the existing building systems and performance. A baseline (weather normalized annual data vs baseline year) will be benchmarked against NRCan survey (2014, “medical office building”) or ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. In-depth assessments of all building systems (mechanical, electrical, building envelope, control systems/BAS) will be conducted to develop energy conservation measures using energy modeling.
