About This Project

Greater Sudbury Housing Corporation (GSHC) is the largest social housing provider in Sudbury, and owns and manages over 1800 units. As part of their goal to significantly reduce utility costs, IESC provided energy engineering services across GSHC’s portfolio of buildings. The services consisted of the following major components:

  • Existing systems inventory and audit
  • Energy and water assessments
  • Utility consumption analysis
  • Renewable energy technology screening
  • Development and evaluation of energy efficiency and water conservation recommendations
  • Prioritization and ranking of recommendations according to GSHC priority areas

Modelling and development of a multi-year plan that considered incentives available, financing costs, and implementation timelines
