Energy Modeling PDF Print E-mail
Although every project will start with initial investigation and research, there are a number of tools that Internat Energy Solutions Canada (IESC) has used to assist in the important energy modeling stage of the project. Along with the commercially developed software that is listed below, IESC has developed a number of in-house tools over the years to help with our energy analysis of buildings.

EE4 - Building Energy Simulation Software
eQuest – Advanced Building Energy Simulation Software
DesignBuilder - 3D Thermal/CFD Simulation Modeling
RetScreen - Clean Energy Project Analysis Software
PHPP - Passive Solar Heating Design/Passive House Software
TSOL - Solar Thermal Simulation Software
PVSYST - Solar Photovoltaic Simulation Software
DAYSIM – Light Analysis Software
DIALux – Light Planning and Design Software

Several of the programs mentioned are specific to the North American market and are particular to government incentive programs currently offered. Others are tools that have allowed IESC to perform simulation on buildings that have an opportunity to implement renewable energy to the project. Whether the project is based on feasibility, design or retrofit, these tools will allow IESC to determine the accuracy and ultimate performance of proposed projects in advance of capital investment.
